Choose prayer reminders
- Open Prayer Times in Hikma and go to reminder settings.
- Choose Off, Silent or Sound beside each prayer.
- Allow notifications when your phone asks. For local times, allow Hikma to use your location.
Set Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha separately. Sunrise appears in the schedule as a reference; it does not have a reminder.
Silent sends a notification without a sound. Choose Sound for a short adhan excerpt or a spoken reminder that names the prayer.
The adhan is a brief excerpt of up to 15 seconds, not the full adhan. Spoken reminders say the prayer name.
Off schedules no reminder. Silent sends an alert without a sound. Sound plays your selected short adhan excerpt or spoken prayer name.
Preview plays an example only; it does not enable reminders. The short adhan option is an excerpt of up to 15 seconds, not the full adhan.
Allow notifications for Hikma in your phone’s Settings. Hikma also needs your location to calculate local prayer times. Check that notification permission is enabled and your location is available. On Android, your phone’s alarm and battery settings can also affect delivery.
Download Hikma for iPhone or Android. Set up prayer times and choose your reminders.
